His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, will hold a State Visit to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam on 1st to 2nd December 2025 at the invitation of His Excellency Luong Chuong, President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam. During the State Visit, His Majesty will meet with His Excellency the President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam; His Excellency Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam; and His Excellency Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the National Assembly.

His Majesty had previously met with His Excellency the President during the Asia-Pacific Economic Leaders' Meeting, AELM, in the Republic of Korea, and with His Excellency the Prime Minister during the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Kuala Lumpur. The last time His Majesty held a State Visit to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam was on 26th to 28th March 2019, which resulted in the upgrading of bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Partnership. On the other hand, the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam made an Official Visit to Brunei Darussalam on 10th to 11th February 2023. Brunei Darussalam and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam enjoy a strong and growing Comprehensive Partnership. The bilateral relationship, which began in 1992, has been reinforced through high-level diplomatic exchanges, robust trade, and increased cooperation in several sectors.
